The building’s own rooftop sky deck, wrapped in the vertical landscaping that defines the property, is a great place to start or end a route with a view of the lake in the distance, and the deck’s lounge seating makes it an easy spot to stretch or rest before heading back inside.

The Green Bay Trail

For a longer route, the Green Bay Trail runs nine miles through Wilmette, Kenilworth, Winnetka, and Highland Park along the Metra line, giving residents an easy way to turn a walk into a longer run without ever leaving the trail system. The trail winds through several North Shore villages along the way, so a longer run doubles as a nice tour of the surrounding area, with train stations spaced along the route for anyone who wants to turn a one-way run into an easy ride home.

Downtown Wilmette is walkable, with the village center just steps from the building, including shops and restaurants that make a walk worthwhile beyond exercise alone. The Metra station sits nearby as well, putting a walk to the train and a walk to dinner within the same easy radius of home.
